Our Story
About FavCasinos
“Every score is computed, not decided.”
What FavCasinos Is
FavCasinos is an independent review site for UK-licensed online casinos. Our purpose is deliberately narrow: to tell you, with evidence, how good each casino actually is. Every casino we list is measured against the same eight criteria — safety and licensing, payout speed, game library, bonus fairness, payment options, mobile experience, customer support and responsible-gambling tools — and the overall rating you see is the weighted average of those eight, calculated automatically. Nobody here types in a final number; the maths produces it, which means no casino can be quietly talked up or talked down.
Before a review is published, we verify the things that matter most. Every operator's licence is checked against the UK Gambling Commission's public register — if a casino is not licensed, it is not listed, and if that verification later fails, we delist it. Every welcome offer's significant terms are verified too, and for the large majority we read them directly from the operator's own published terms rather than trusting marketing copy. Payout-speed scores rest on tested or independently verified withdrawal times, not on the promises in an advert.
Because our ratings are built from facts, they move when the facts do. When a casino changes its terms, or our checks turn up something new, the affected criteria are re-scored and the overall figure recalculates on its own. We do not rewrite the past quietly — material changes are dated. The full method, including what each criterion measures, how it is banded and how we break ties between casinos on the same score, is set out on our how-we-score page.
What We Don't Do
We should be plain about how the site is funded: FavCasinos earns commission when some readers sign up with casinos we review, and every casino link is marked accordingly. What that commission never buys is a score or a position. Operators are measured on identical criteria whether we have a commercial relationship with them or not, and several casinos we list pay us nothing at all. The full disclosure lives on our how-we-score page; the short version is that the ranking is the ranking.
How the Site Stays Current
A review is only as good as the day it was checked, so we re-verify on a rolling cycle and whenever an operator materially changes its offer. Each review carries a dated “last checked” stamp, so you can see for yourself how fresh its facts are — and when the underlying detail moves, the score is recalculated rather than left to drift. It is ongoing work, not a one-time audit, and it is the reason a rating here reflects the casino as it is now, not as it was at launch.
Contact & Corrections
Found something wrong? We would like to hear about it. You can reach the editorial team at hello@favcasinos.co.uk, and we especially welcome corrections. If a scored fact is wrong, we would rather fix the score than defend it — accuracy is the entire point of the site, and a reader-flagged error is a favour, not a nuisance.
